How to setup a free blog with Blogspot blog

Some people consider blogging as part of their hobbies however some other professional uses it to make money for living. The professional bloggers who are giving all their time to to this profession are making much higher than those who are working full time with reputed company. The blogging can be a good hobby for those who have interest in writing and willing to share the tips or tricks or their views on a particular topic. For example, if someone interest in gadgets or electronics items, he may share its review on different products or suggest a good product to the readers based on its personal experience. As I said while some of them take blogging merely as hobby, some other takes it one step ahead and make huge money out of it.

Today in this article, I will be guiding the readers of this blog to setup a free blog with Google's free blogging platform called Blogspot or Bloggers. This can a good start for both; those who just want to share different stuff by means of their blog OR those who want to make some money out of this passion. Whenever you start something you have no idea about, its better to start it at a small level and the blogspot platform offered by Google is the best choice. Before you open to buy a custom domain (top level domain) of your choice that can cost you $12-$15 for one year (which too isn't a big sum) and hosting that may cost depending upon the company you are buying hosting plan from. Some well known company such as Godaddy, HostGator, Bluehost can cost you anywhere between $8 to $15 a month depending upon the space, bandwidth requirements.

Coming back to the point, to register or to start a blog with blogspot.com, you need to have a gmail account. You may use other email account as well and it necessarily required to be with gmail.com however based on my personal experience, I recommend to use www.gmail.com account. In case you don't have an email account, you can get one pretty easily.Let's take a look at the steps for setting up a blog with Blogspot.com.

Step -1: Start browser and open and link www.blogspot.com.
Step -2: A login form is opened. Enter the username and pass.
Step -3: On the left hand side, click the button called "New blog"

Step -4: A separate window will open that will ask for the Title & Address. Enter the name Title of the blog and address you want to have. In below example, the title I have selected is "Travel Tips 2018" and same for the address.

Step -5: Select the theme out of available ones.
Step -6: Hit "Create Blog" button at the bottom and the blog is ready to go.

In my this example, the blog URL is www.traveltips2018.blogspot.com
